Job summary

US Fertility in Sandy Springs, GA seeks a Medical Assistant to join Shady Grove Fertility within our Sandy Springs practice. The role provides essential patient care, phlebotomy, and administrative support in a fast-paced fertility clinic.

You'll work Monday–Friday 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM ET with occasional weekends and holidays, joining a team of physicians and staff dedicated to compassionate, high-quality patient care. Training and career growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal MA program; preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
• Comfort with computer applications and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-volume phlebotomy.
• Maintain supplies for blood drawing stations.
• Assist with clinical care of fertility patients.
• Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs.
• Counsel patients and convey physician orders.
• Provide pre- and post-operative education.
• Perform semen washes and set up for IUIs.
• Take vital signs and provide general clinical assistance.
• Enter labs and print labels in the system.
• Create a compassionate environment for patients and families.
• Work independently to achieve program goals.

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Sandy Springs, Georgia.

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM Eastern Time, with occasional weekends and holidays

In this role, the Medical Assistant will:

• Perform high volume of phlebotomy
• Maintain supplies for the blood drawing stations
• Assist with the clinical care of fertility patients
• Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs
• Provide patient/couple counseling, procedure teaching, communicates physician orders and instructions
• Provide pre and post op education
• Perform semen washes and sets up for IUIs
• Take vital signs and provide general clinical assistance
• Utilize the computer in entering labs and printing labels
• Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and patients’ families
• Work independently to assure the program goals are achieved
• Support and promote excellence in customer service

Qualifications and Skills Include:

• Completion of a formal MA program; preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to follow-through, and high degree of comfort with computer applications, accuracy and speed with data entry is required
• Minimum of one year of prior experience in healthcare and familiarity with medical terminology
