The Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative/clerical tasks based on training, education, and competency evaluations. These tasks are delegated by and under the supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

High School or Equivalent
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), EMT Basic Certification (EMT) within the state(s) of practice.
