Job summary

Cullman Regional Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a PRN Urgent Care clinician in Cullman, AL. You will join our urgent care team to assist providers, take vitals, document patient histories, and help prepare patients for exams.

This role requires a high school diploma, 1 year of clinical experience preferred, and strong communication. Proficiency with EMR systems and the ability to work independently in a busy setting are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain safe, secure and healthy work environment by following policies and procedures.
• Determine if visit is urgent or emergent and direct to ER when needed.
• Prepare patient for exam by collecting medical history and vital signs.
• Document current medications and allergies for each patient.
• Assist provider during testing, examinations and procedures.
• Record all medications and immunizations ordered.
• Take patient specimens and conduct laboratory tests.
• Stock rooms and manage inventory; notify manager for orders.
• Handle administrative duties such as calls and verifying lab/x-ray reports.

Job Summary:

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain safe, secure and heathy work environment by establishing and following policies and procedures.
• Determine if the purpose of the visit is urgent or emergent and should be taken directly to the ER.
• Prepare patient for exam by collecting medical history, vital signs and required clinical information.
• Document current medications and all allergies for each patient.
• Assist provider during testing, examinations and procedure(s) when needed.
• Follow provider's instructions to complete patient treatment.
• Provide and record all medications and immunizations ordered by provider and given to the patient.
• Take patient specimen and conduct laboratory test(s) ordered by the provider.
• Stock rooms.
• Keep supplies ready by taking inventory of stock; communicate to the manager when an order needs to be placed.
• Perform administrative duties such as answering incoming calls, returning calls, verifying lab and x-ray reports are received.

Qualifications: Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.

Experience:

• 1-year previous experience in a clinical or hospital environment preferred.
