Job summary

Cullman Regional Urology in Cullman, AL is seeking a PRN - .2 position to provide excellent patient service and medical support. You will collect histories, vital signs, and assist with testing and procedures as directed by the provider.

Responsibilities include documenting medications and allergies, stocking rooms, and performing administrative duties to ensure smooth daily operations in a busy clinical setting. This role emphasizes teamwork and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-year previous experience in a clinical or hospital environment preferred.
• Knowledgeable of EMRs and regulatory practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain safe, secure and healthy work environment by establishing and following policies and procedures.
• Determine if the visit is urgent or emergent and should be taken directly to the ER.
• Prepare patient for exam by collecting medical history, vital signs and required clinical information.
• Document current medications and all allergies for each patient.
• Assist provider during testing, examinations and procedure(s) when needed.
• Follow provider's instructions to complete patient treatment.
• Provide and record all medications and immunizations ordered by provider and given to the patient.
• Take patient specimen and conduct laboratory test(s) ordered by the provider.
• Stock rooms.
• Keep supplies ready by taking inventory of stock; communicate to the manager when an order needs to be placed.
• Perform administrative duties such as answering incoming calls, returning calls, verifying lab and x-ray reports are received.
