Job summary

Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster (OAL) is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to bill insurance for surgery-center related charges and physician bills, and to pursue collections until paid. You will support daily posting, reconciliation, and patient-account maintenance while collaborating with clinical and administrative staff.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, medical office experience, and familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior medical office experience preferred.
• Certification/diploma from vocational school or business school preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

Responsibilities

• Bill insurance companies for surgery center and related physician bills.
• Pursue collection of all claims until payment is made by insurers.
• Perform daily posting and reconciliation of insurance and patient payments.
• Maintain patient accounts and perform collections as needed.
• Support front-end revenue cycle processes and ensure compliance with standards.
