Job summary

Matrix Providers is seeking a Medical Appointment Clerk at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. This full-time role schedules primary care, specialty, and consult appointments in a government system and supports front-desk operations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, Basic Life Support, and at least one year in medical office scheduling. Strong English, typing skill, and medical terminology knowledge are required to ensure accurate patient

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required with basic medical terminology knowledge.
• Minimum 1 year of professional medical office scheduling experience.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments in government computer system for primary care and specialty care.
• Answer 25–35 daily phone calls and assist 50+ patients/visitors daily.
• Coordinate patient referrals and care with internal and external providers.
• Process 50+ daily medical data forms and maintain electronic medical records.
• Schedule 20–30 patient appointments daily and maintain clinic records.
