Role Summary
Develop data infrastructure for data scientists and ensure appropriate and efficient development of care gap and HCP prioritization models.
Role Responsibilities
- Design, develop, optimize, and maintain data architecture and pipelines (e.g., feeding medical data sources into data lake for ongoing projects).
- Partner with product managers and data leads to develop technical architectures for analytical models.
- Identify data inputs needed for analytics (e.g., claims data for unmet need analysis).
- Gather, prepare, and maintain datasets required for analytics.
- Oversee data systems in collaboration with data management leads, ensuring accurate data collection, storage, and processing.
- Enhance data infrastructure for scalability and optimize data delivery, including automating manual data retrieval processes.
Support analytics development
- Solve complex data problems to deliver insights and support analytics production.
- Create data products to improve team productivity and collaboration.
Ensure adherence to data practices and standards
- Advise and mentor colleagues on data standards and practices.
- Promote a culture of data sharing, re-use, and operational efficiency.
- Lead evaluation and deployment of new tools and processes to improve team productivity.
Basic Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership, influence, and collaboration skills.
- Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Clinical Informatics, or related field.
- Bachelor's + 6+ years or Master’s + 5+ years in data engineering, preferably in healthcare.
- Relevant certifications or experience.
- Experience working cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical business processes.
- Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Tableau, SQL, Python, Pyspark.
- At least 1 year in a client-facing technical role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building web apps and interactive visualizations for data explanation and exploration.

- Travel up to 40% may be required.
- Location options include various U.S. and Canadian sites, with remote work possible.
- Work from Pfizer office 2-3 days/week.
