Job summary

The University of South Carolina is seeking a qualified professional to advance access and engagement for prospective medical school applicants. You will plan, prepare, and organize recruitment and mentoring events, while coordinating workshops for diverse student populations at FSOM.

Under general supervision, you will support admissions by managing events, reporting outcomes, and building partnerships with faculty, students, and community groups to promote pathways to medicine for underserved

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1+ year of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree and 2+ years experience in electronic platforms preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates workshops, programs, and mentoring opportunities for student groups.
• Supports school of medicine admissions processes using AMP throughout the cycle.
• Develops recruitment initiatives for underserved/rural students and tracks progress.
• Coordinates programming for newly enrolled medical students and provides follow-up support.
• Builds relationships with faculty, students, and college representatives to promote opportunities.
