Job summary

Mathematica is seeking an Advisory Services Analyst with Medicaid policy expertise to support state and federal programs. The role involves leading and coordinating cross-functional teams, applying quantitative and qualitative analyses, and delivering actionable policy insights.

Ideal candidates bring a strong foundation in Medicaid policy, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Masters or equivalent in data analytics, public policy, economics, statistics, public health, or related field; or a BA/BS with relevant experience.
• Strong background in quantitative and/or qualitative methods and Medicaid policy knowledge.
• Excellent writing and oral communication for policy/technical memos to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to lead tasks and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead or participate actively in multidisciplinary teams to support Medicaid policy and program implementation and monitoring.
• Apply rigorous analytic thinking to quantitative and/or qualitative data, including Medicaid data analysis.
• Provide direction and organization to keep projects on time and on budget and facilitate stakeholder communications.
• Contribute to staff expertise in Medicaid through knowledge sharing and mentorship.
• Balance multiple projects in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
