atCause Law seeks an experienced Medicaid paralegal to manage a Florida Medicaid caseload from intake to approval, including ICP, HCVS, and long-term care waivers. You will gather documents, draft Miller Trusts, and organize records for a five-year look-back while maintaining compassionate client communication.

You will report to the Medicaid Administrator and closely collaborate with elder law attorneys, ensuring timely, accurate submissions and thorough follow-up to secure coverage for clients.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Florida Medicaid paralegal experience.
• Precision and attention to detail to avoid delays.
• Composure and compassion with families under stress.
• Ownership of a caseload with proactive follow-up.
• Comfort with Microsoft Office and a CRM (Zoho preferred).
• Florida FRP or paralegal certificate/degree is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Manage a Medicaid caseload from start to approval: nursing-home Medicaid (ICP and HCVS) and long-term care waivers.
• Prepare and submit complete, accurate applications through DCF and track to approval.
• Gather financial records, medical documentation, and verifications from clients and facilities.
• Draft Qualified Income Trusts (Miller Trusts) and related planning documents.
• Organize financial records for five-year look-back and flag issues for the attorney.
• Keep clients informed with clear updates during stressful times.
• Handle renewals and post-approval follow-up.
• Keep files and CRM records accurate and up to date.
