Job summary

Institute for Community Living Inc. in New York, NY seeks an Entitlements Specialist-Coordinator for Integrated Services to support Medicaid eligibility processing and entitlements management in our Entitlements Department.

The role focuses on maintaining case records, assisting clients with agency communications, and coordinating with SSA, HRA, and NY State to ensure timely Medicaid benefits, renewals, and related services for community-based clients.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with developed computer literacy.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with relevant entitlement experience preferred.
• Experience in social/human services and working with entitlement programs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Process, maintain and complete entitlement tasks and responsibilities.
• Maintain entitlement case records with timely filings and accurate notes.
• Assist clients with communications with agencies (HRA, NYS SSA) to establish Medicaid eligibility.
• Maintain monthly entitlement records and billing submissions for Medicaid surplus/retroactive coverage.
• Develop collateral contacts and communicate with collateral agencies to support eligibility.
