Job summary

Sunnyside Care Center is seeking a Medicaid Specialist to assist potential enrollees with Medicaid applications, recertification, and eligibility questions in a busy nursing home setting.

You will educate applicants, collect documentation, and submit packets, while coordinating with LDSS offices to track progress. The role emphasizes accuracy, timely responses, and strong communication with residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Educate potential enrollees regarding the Medicaid process.
• Collect documentation and assemble/submit application packets.
• Follow-up with LDSS offices to track applications through the system.
• Recertify residents’ coverage before it lapses (typically annually).
• Research and resolve Medicaid issues including requested documentation within specified time frames.
• Maintain records of members’ eligibility statuses and recertification dates.
• Be a community ambassador for the facility.
