Job summary

Independence Care Center is seeking a seasoned Medicaid Coordinator to manage applications, recertifications, and related documentation for residents. You will work closely with residents, families, and government agencies to ensure timely processing and compliance with NY Medicaid requirements, while maintaining accurate records and coordinating with Admissions, Social Services, and the Business Office.

• Previous Medicaid experience, preferably in a skilled nursing facility.
• Knowledge of NY Medicaid requirements preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple cases and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process Medicaid applications and recertifications.
• Collect and review required documentation.
• Follow up on pending applications and eligibility issues.
• Maintain accurate resident Medicaid records.
