State of South Carolina is seeking an Eligibility Specialist II to determine and re-determine Medicaid eligibility in accordance with policy. The role requires collecting documentation, evaluating applications, and performing eligibility actions with accuracy and timeliness.

The position is in-office in Richland County, with occasional travel and overtime as needed. A high school diploma is required, with a bachelor’s degree substituting for experience. Benefits are provided.

Formación

• High school diploma and experience in customer services, social services, human services, and/or Medicaid processing.
• Bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
• Proficiency with computers, basic math, and standard Microsoft Office tools.

Responsabilidades

• Determine/re-determin Medicaid eligibility based on policies and procedures.
• Collect and evaluate documentation from applicants and third parties.
• Complete eligibility determinations, reviews, and changes accurately and timely.
• Maintain clear documentation and notes for hand-off and review.
• Attend mandatory meetings and trainings; adhere to privacy and confidentiality policies.
