Job summary

Little River Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a Medicaid Application Specialist in Little River, SC. The role involves determining Medicaid eligibility, gathering applicant information, submitting applications, and guiding individuals through the process.

You will work closely with the Outreach team to support eligibility and enroll patients in Medicaid and Family Planning Medicaid, with occasional travel to LRMC sites and community events.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-year associate or certified degree.
• BS in Social Work or Communications preferred.
• Must be able to read, speak, and write English fluently; Spanish/other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Determine Medicaid eligibility for patients and community members.
• Assist eligible individuals with completing and submitting Medicaid applications.
• Track the applications using computer systems, databases, and other relevant software.
• Follow up with patients to ensure submission and determination of outcomes.
• Travel to additional LRMC sites as needed for community events.
• Participate in outreach activities and meetings with LRMC staff and partner agencies.
