Our client is a boutique consulting firm serving public-sector and commercial clients across the Gulf South. They seek a Medicaid Eligibility Product Owner to convert policy into a clear backlog, prioritize work, and ensure timely, accurate eligibility decisions.

You will partner with state agencies, policy experts, and technology teams to translate MAGI and non-MAGI rules into epics and acceptance criteria, while guiding agile delivery and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Product Owner, product manager, or business lead roles within government or healthcare systems.
• 3+ years with Medicaid eligibility, enrollment, or integrated eligibility systems.
• Solid understanding of MAGI and non-MAGI rules, verifications, and renewals.
• Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing a backlog in Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams and communicating with both technical and executive audiences.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsabilités

• Own and prioritize the product backlog for Medicaid eligibility and enrollment systems.
• Translate policy into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead impact analysis for new federal/state requirements and renewals.
• Clarify rules with state staff, document decisions, and ensure alignment.
• Collaborate with Scrum Masters, developers, testers, and business analysts through all ceremonies.
• Accept work against criteria and support user acceptance testing with state staff.
• Coordinate with SNAP, MMIS, and managed care programs and track outcomes.
• Communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs to agency leadership.
