Meritas Advisory Group, LLC seeks a Medicaid Eligibility Product Owner to lead the state’s eligibility backlog, translating MAGI and non-MAGI rules into actionable epics and stories. You will partner with policymakers, technology teams, and agency leaders to ensure compliant, timely decisions for members.

You will collaborate with Scrum Masters, developers, testers, and business analysts to refine work, define acceptance criteria, and support UAT with state staff, while tracking key performance

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading product work on government or healthcare systems.
• 3+ years in Medicaid eligibility, enrollment, or integrated systems.
• Experience writing user stories and backlog management in Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tool.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams.
• Clear, plain-spoken communication with technical teams and agency executives alike.

Responsabilités

• Own and prioritize the product backlog for Medicaid eligibility and enrollment system.
• Translate policy into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead impact analysis for new federal/state requirements (e.g., MAGI rules).
• Clarify rules with state policy/program staff and document decisions.
• Collaborate with Scrum Masters, developers, testers, and BAs through planning and reviews.
• Accept completed work against acceptance criteria and support UAT with state staff.
• Coordinate dependencies with adjacent systems like SNAP/MMIS.
• Track outcomes (timeliness, auto-renewals, errors) to guide priorities.
• Communicate progress, trade-offs, and risks to leadership.
