Job summary

Evolving Solution Services in Newark, NJ is seeking a Data Entry Clerk to support Medicaid-related data entry, billing and eligibility processing. The role requires meticulous data handling and coordination with Intake and Medical staff.

The successful candidate will verify client information, process Medicaid applications and authorizations, and manage daily billings in NJ systems. On-site position based in Newark with exposure to multiple programs.

Qualifications

• High School or Equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Data Entry, billing or accounting role.
• Experience with Billing Software, Zoobook, Quickbooks, NJ-DAS/NJMISS knowledge a Plus.

Responsibilities

• Checks in the NJMMIS (Emevs) system if the client has active Medicaid.
• Daily interviews the new clients by phone and verifies information entered by Intake for quality control to finish admission to CURA using NJSAMS.
• Informs Intake of missing or wrong information needing correction.
• Processes PE (Medicaid Presumptive Eligibility) for new eligible clients.
• Requests or secures initial/ongoing authorizations according to funding source.
• Updates funding sources in Zoobook; bills FFS Newark and Secaucus clients using NJ-DAS daily.
• Generates and submits Medicaid billing in Zoobook every 3 days.
