Job summary

Eastern Health Group is seeking a Medicaid Coordinator to supervise and coordinate business office functions. The role requires handling Medicaid/Medicare billings, maintaining resident financial records, and coordinating with an external billing company to optimize collections.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Business or related long-term care experience, 3+ years in the field, and 1–2 years of supervisory experience. Strong English communication and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or relevant long-term care experience.
• 3+ years related experience in healthcare or long-term care.
• 1–2 years supervisory/management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit reports to Administrator and government agencies on schedule.
• Manage monthly Medicaid, Medicare and other insurance billings with follow-up on delinquent payments.
• Oversee accounts receivable processes with external billing company.
• Maintain financial records including cash, payables, and payroll journals.
• Participate in admissions discussions explaining rates, billing terms, and payment plans.
• Supervise business office staff and coordinate with vendors.
