Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a dedicated team member for on-site work at HSHS - St. Anthony's Hospital in Effingham, IL.

The role focuses on screening uninsured patients for Medicaid eligibility, assisting with applications, and ensuring timely processing with coordination across departments. Qualified candidates have 1–2 years in healthcare, knowledge of revenue cycle and patient insurance processes, and strong communication skills; CRCR certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in healthcare industry interacting with patients about hospital financial issues.
• Understanding of Revenue Cycle including admissions, billing, payments and denials.
• Knowledge of patient insurance processes for authorizations and benefits verification.
• Experience with managed care/insurance and call center environments preferred.
• Willingness to explore AI-enabled process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Review uninsured/under-insured patients for program eligibility and coordinate applications.
• Gather documents from patients to complete applications.
• Monitor submission status and ensure timely billing or adjustments.
• Document actions in patient accounting systems.
• Maintain knowledge of state/federal program requirements and share with team.
• Collaborate with Medicaid caseworkers and other revenue cycle departments.
