Job summary

Genesis is seeking a Bookkeeper for nursing centers in the Eastern Panhandle, WV region. The role requires Medicaid experience and may involve floating between centers to support operations. You will process accounts receivable and ensure transactions align with policy and procedures.

The position interacts with administration, the business office, and billing teams, supporting census, billing, month-end close, collections, refunds and trust fund processing with accuracy.

Qualifications

• Medicaid experience is required for this role.
• Experience in nursing center billing systems is preferred.
• Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Nursing Home Administrator, business office colleagues, nursing center staff and the Centralized Billing Office; report to the Business Office Manager.
• Assist with census, billing, month end activities, collections, refunds and patient/resident trust fund transactions.
• Complete Medical Assistance application tasks.
• Coordinate patient/resident ancillary charges and enter into the billing system.
• Review patient/resident admission files for accuracy.
