Job summary

WBAL-TV, the NBC affiliate in Baltimore, offers an entry-level Sales Account Associate position with a comprehensive 9–12 month training program to develop candidates into Sales Account Executives. You will learn all facets of local television sales and work under the Local Sales Manager.

The role emphasizes training with top producers, hands-on experience with WideOrbit/Media Monitors/Dynamics/Media Radar tools, and exposure to Nielsen data.

Qualifications

• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel; able to maintain complex spreadsheets.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under time pressure.
• Ambition to advance to media sales account executive within 9–12 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist development of sales proposals, advertising packages, and client presentations.
• Create marketing materials for the sales department.
• Prepare proposals based on account executive requests.
• Coordinate with sales, production, finance and external clients on campaign performance and delivery.
• Enter and maintain all orders including electronic transfer and WOCentral orders to WideOrbit.
