Job summary

FOX 32 Chicago is seeking a Sales Assistant to support the Local Account Executives and Sales Managers across broadcast and digital platforms. You will handle order entry, revisions, reporting, and coordination with traffic, research, and other teams.

The role emphasizes organization, accuracy with numbers, and strong communication. A proactive, collaborative candidate with a related degree or equivalent experience is preferred and comprehensive benefits are offered.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a positive, professional approach.
• Comfortable working with numbers and data with a strong focus on accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to learn industry software, including WideOrbit, Media Sales, and other media platforms.
• Strong work ethic and collaborative, team‑oriented approach.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Support Account Executives with advertising order entry, revisions, and reporting in the WideOrbit Traffic system.
• Communicate with sales representatives and buyers regarding preempts, make‑good offers, program changes, late runs, and other account activity.
• Provide weekly advertiser reports, including spot times and post reports.
• Collaborate with sales representatives and buyers to address invoicing, discrepancies, and collection issues.
• Support Sales Management with political advertising, including maintaining contracts, ensuring FCC documentation is complete, and verifying cash‑in‑advance payments.
• Collaborate with the Traffic department on advertising copy management.
• Support other station departments and initiatives as needed.
• Perform additional projects and duties as assigned.
