Job summary

FOX 32 Chicago is seeking a detail-oriented Sales Assistant to support the Sales Team in generating revenue across broadcast and digital platforms.

You will assist Local Account Executives and Sales Managers with order entry, reporting, and coordination with digital sales, traffic, and research teams, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional approach.
• Comfortable working with numbers and data with a focus on accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to learn industry software including WideOrbit, Media Sales, AOS.

Responsibilities

• Support Account Executives with advertising order entry, revisions, and reporting in the WideOrbit Traffic system.
• Communicate with sales representatives and buyers regarding preempts, make-good offers, program changes, late runs, and other activity.
• Provide weekly advertiser reports, including spot times and post reports.
• Collaborate with sales representatives and buyers to address invoicing, discrepancies, and collection issues.
• Support Sales Management with political advertising, including maintaining contracts and FCC documentation, and verifying cash-in-advance payments.
• Collaborate with the Traffic department on advertising copy management.
• Support other station departments and initiatives as needed.
• Perform additional projects and duties as assigned.

We are seeking a motivated, detailed-oriented team player to join our Sales Team and contribute to our sales success while driving revenue across all broadcast and digital platforms.

As a Sales Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the Sales Team and our efforts to drive revenue across all platforms. Your primary focus will be day-to-day support of Local Account Executives and Sales Managers while collaborating with digital sales, traffic, research, and other teams.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $23.40-25.83 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
