Job summary

FOX 32 Chicago is seeking a Sales Assistant to support the Sales Team and drive revenue across broadcast and digital platforms. You will assist Local Account Executives and Sales Managers with day-to-day tasks while coordinating with digital sales, traffic, research, and other teams.

This role emphasizes organization, communication, and accuracy, with responsibilities including order entry in WideOrbit, handling preempts, making-goods, program changes, and weekly advertiser reports.

Qualifications

• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication with a professional approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn industry software (WideOrbit, AOS, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Support Account Executives with advertising order entry, revisions, and reporting in WideOrbit.
• Communicate with sales reps regarding preempts, make-goods, program changes, and account activity.
• Provide weekly advertiser reports, including spot times and post reports.
• Collaborate with sales reps and buyers to address invoicing and collection issues.
• Support political advertising, including maintaining contracts and FCC documentation.
• Coordinate with Traffic on advertising copy management.
• Assist other station departments and initiatives as needed and take on special projects.

Sales Assistant (Regular Full-Time)

We are seeking a motivated, detailed-oriented team player to join our Sales Team and contribute to our sales success while driving revenue across all broadcast and digital platforms.

As a Sales Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the Sales Team and our efforts to drive revenue across all platforms. Your primary focus will be day-to-day support of Local Account Executives and Sales Managers while collaborating with digital sales, traffic, research, and other teams.

What You'll Do

• Support Account Executives with advertising order entry, revisions, and reporting in the WideOrbit Traffic system.
• Communicate with sales representatives and buyers regarding preempts, make-good offers, program changes, late runs, and other account activity.
• Provide weekly advertiser reports, including spot times and post reports.
• Collaborate with sales representatives and buyers to address invoicing, discrepancies, and collection issues.
• Support Sales Management with political advertising, including maintaining contracts, ensuring FCC documentation is complete, and verifying cash-in-advance payments.
• Collaborate with the Traffic department on advertising copy management.
• Support other station departments and initiatives as needed.
• Perform additional projects and duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $23.40-25.83 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
