Job summary

FOX 2 Detroit is seeking a Sales Assistant to support the Sales Team across advertising operations. You will assist Local Account Executives and Sales Managers, handling order entry, revisions, reporting, and coordination with digital sales and traffic teams.

The role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and teamwork in a fast-paced Detroit market. A degree or relevant experience is preferred and benefits accompany a full-time position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience in advertising sales support is a plus.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Support Account Executives with advertising order entry, revisions, and reporting in the WideOrbit Traffic system.
• Communicate with sales representatives and buyers regarding preempts, make-good offers, program changes, late runs, and other account activity.
• Provide weekly advertiser reports, including spot times and post reports.
• Collaborate with sales representatives and buyers to address invoicing, discrepancies, and collection issues.
• Support Sales Management with political advertising, including maintaining contracts, ensuring FCC documentation is complete, and verifying cash-in-advance payments.
• Collaborate with the Traffic department on advertising copy management.
• Support other station departments and initiatives as needed.
• Perform additional projects and duties as assigned.
