Job summary

FOX 32 Chicago is seeking a Sales Assistant to support the Sales Team and drive revenue across broadcast and digital platforms. You will assist Local Account Executives and Sales Managers with day-to-day tasks while coordinating with digital sales, traffic, research, and other teams.

This role emphasizes organization, communication, and accuracy, with responsibilities including order entry in WideOrbit, handling preempts, making-goods, program changes, and weekly advertiser reports.

Qualifications

• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication with a professional approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn industry software (WideOrbit, AOS, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Support Account Executives with advertising order entry, revisions, and reporting in WideOrbit.
• Communicate with sales reps regarding preempts, make-goods, program changes, and account activity.
• Provide weekly advertiser reports, including spot times and post reports.
• Collaborate with sales reps and buyers to address invoicing and collection issues.
• Support political advertising, including maintaining contracts and FCC documentation.
• Coordinate with Traffic on advertising copy management.
• Assist other station departments and initiatives as needed and take on special projects.
