Job summary

Med-Trans in Texas is hiring a Helicopter Pilot to provide medical air transport services. You will work with medical experts to safely transport patients, ensure aircraft readiness, and maintain regulatory documentation.

The role requires a rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate, helicopter instrument rating, current FAA Class II Medical Certificate, and substantial flight hours including turbine time and night flying. On-duty housing and competitive incentives are offered.

Qualifications

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate and helicopter instrument rating required.
• FAA Class II Medical Certificate must be current and valid.
• Minimum 2,000 total flight hours with 1,500 helicopter hours and 1,000 helicopter PIC hours.
• At least 200 hours of turbine helicopter operations and 200 night flight hours.
• Experience with the B407 aircraft is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients with a team of medical experts while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain aircraft readiness for flight dispatches and complete required documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
• Provide shift-change information following recording protocols.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.

We’re hiring a Helicopter Pilot to provide medical air transportation services to Med-Trans customers. Safety is a key pillar of our services.

Responsibilities

• Working with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches as described in the appropriate manuals, including all FAR and Med-Trans requirements, and aircraft cleanliness duties
• Maintain accurate Med-Trans and regulatory documentation and record keeping
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners
• Provide shift change info to successive pilot and team following protocol for recording Med-Trans change board details
• Accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training
