Job summary

Global Medical Response is hiring a Helicopter Pilot for Med-Trans operations in Chanute, KS. The HAA Pilot will join a team delivering critical air medical transport, maintaining aircraft readiness, completing regulatory documentation, and coordinating with dispatch and flight crews to ensure safe patient transport.

Ideal candidates hold a rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate, rotorcraft instrument rating, and 2,000 total flight hours (1,500 helicopter hours and 1,000 helicopter PIC hours).

Qualifications

• Current rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate required.
• Helicopter instrument rating required.
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
• 2,000 Total Flight Hours required.
• 1,500 Helicopter Hours required.
• 1,000 Helicopter PIC Hours required.
• 500 Turbine Helicopter Hours preferred.
• 200 Helicopter Night Flight Hours required.
• B407 Aircraft Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients with medical team teams to and from locations and facilities.
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatch per manuals and Med-Trans requirements.
• Maintain Med-Trans and regulatory documentation and record keeping.
• Communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
• Provide shift change info to subsequent pilot and team per change board protocol.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.
