Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 2 years of clinical experience if Bachelor's; 10 years if Associate's or 5 years with RN to BSN.
• Current active nursing license in state.
• AHA BLS provider.
• Clinical knowledge with evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Develop onboarding and competency programs using evidence-based practices.
• Create orientation and ongoing education plans for staff.
• Foster a positive learning environment with diverse teaching strategies.
• Partner with leadership and academic institutions to support education initiatives.
• Mentor staff and promote excellence and safety.
• Maintain proficiency in unit skills, EMR, and technology tools.
• Ensure compliance with Mercy policies and assist with drills and knowledge gap education.
