Job summary

Mercy South, St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator for Med/Tele to lead onboarding, competency programs, and ongoing staff education. This role partners with unit leadership and academic partners to advance education initiatives and promote safe, evidence-based patient care.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, maintaining EMR proficiency, and aligning education with Mercy policies. Requires RN licensure, BLS, and clinical nursing experience; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nursing with current RN licensure.
Two years of clinical nursing experience if BSN; ADN requires longer tenure.
AHA BLS provider certification.

Responsibilities

Develop onboarding and competency programs.
Create orientation plans for licensed and unlicensed staff.
Utilize diverse teaching strategies including simulation and case scenarios.
Partner with leadership and academic partners on education initiatives.
Serve as mentor and role model for safety and excellence.
Maintain proficiency in unit skills and EMR systems.
Ensure compliance with Mercy policies and contribute to drills and education on gaps.
