Job summary

The Woodlake Senior Living in Sacramento, CA is seeking a compassionate Med Tech to provide high-quality care to residents in our community. You will administer and document medications, support daily living activities, and collaborate with the health services team to ensure safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year caregiving experience preferred.
• Nursing home or senior living experience recommended.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology essential.
• CNA or Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• First Aid, CPR and related certifications preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must read/write in English.
• Background checks and LIC 508/LIC 503 health screening required.

Responsibilities

• Administers and documents medications and treatments as directed by the resident's physician.
• Documents changes and observations of resident needs and preferences.
• Communicates with health services team, physicians, and other providers as needed.
• Assist with activities of daily living in a person-centered care model.
• Support daily requirements and tasks as requested.
• Ensure residents' privacy, respect and dignity are maintained.
• Follow infection control procedures and standard precautions.
• Complete state-required training on hire and annually.

Responsibilities of the Med Tech

• Administers and documents medications/treatments as directed by residents’ physician.
• Documents and reports changes and observations of resident’s needs and preferences.
• Communicates with the health services team, physicians, other healthcare providers, and responsible parties as needed.
• Provide assistance with activities of daily living in a manner that supports our person-centered care philosophy.
• Assist in daily requirements and tasks as requested.
• Ensure residents are provided privacy, respect, and dignity.
• Follows standard precautions and infection control procedures.
• Completes state required training upon hire and annually.

Required Experience

• Possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of one (1) year caregiving experience is required.
• Experience in a nursing home or similar healthcare or senior living.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Knowledge of anatomy and basic medical terminology is essential.
• Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Food Handlers Certification, First Aid Certification, Caregiver Certification and CPR Certification preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in the English language.
• State Criminal Background Check and LIC 508 Criminal Record Statement
• LIC 503 Health Screening Report
