Job summary

Sonnet Hill Senior Living in San Jose, CA is seeking a compassionate Med Tech to provide high-quality care to our residents. This part-time position offers opportunities to grow and on-the-job training for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities include administering medications as directed, documenting changes, collaborating with health services, and supporting daily living activities while preserving privacy and dignity. English fluency and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum one year caregiving experience preferred (senior living experience preferred).
• Senior Living experience required.
• Current Adult First Aid and CPR certifications required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.

• Documents and reports changes and observations of residents’ needs and preferences.
• Communicates with the health services team, physicians, other healthcare providers, and responsible parties as needed.
• Provide assistance with activities of daily living in a manner that supports our person-centered care philosophy.
• Assist in daily requirements and tasks as requested.
• Ensure residents are provided privacy, respect, and dignity.
• Follows standard precautions and infection control procedures.
• Completes state required training upon hire and annually.

Required Experience

• Possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Must be able to speak, read, and write in the English language.
• State Criminal Background Check and LIC 508 Criminal Record Statement
• LIC 503 Health Screening Report
