MorningStar of Longmont is seeking a Med Tech to administer and document prescribed medications under the Wellness Director and CO regulations. The role requires attention to safety, accuracy, and resident well-being, with shift options covering nights and days.

The position emphasizes compassionate care, adherence to medication protocols, and collaboration with licensed nurses to ensure residents receive timely, respectful treatment with a focus on dignity.

Qualifications

• Administer, pour, pass, and document regularly prescribed medications per physician orders.
• Follow five rights of medication administration.
• Maintain medication records and report adverse reactions.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document medications as prescribed.
• Order medications from the pharmacy before running out and ensure timely delivery.
• Document medications given immediately after administration.
• Monitor residents for reactions or changes in condition; report to licensed nurses.
• Record vital signs prior to medications that may affect them.
• Assist in care plan development and ensure resident privacy and safety.
• Support daily living activities and assist with mobility and personal care.
