Job summary

Avamere at Newberg is seeking a Med Tech-Assisted Living professional to administer medications and provide direct care to residents. The role includes passing meds, recording administration, and collaborating with nursing staff to ensure safety and quality of life.

Responsibilities cover medication management, care coordination, and documentation in the EMR, with shifts 2pm-10pm Tue-Sat (Full-Time and PRN). A perfect attendance culture is emphasized, with benefits supporting staff well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Memory Care Unit or Assisted Living Facility.
• Must obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification during employment.
• Must obtain Food Handler’s Card.
• Experience with electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications according to physician orders under licensed nurse supervision.
• Record medications administered in the resident’s record.
• Notify pharmacy or family when medications need refilling.
• Maintain a clean and organized medication cart and room.
• Monitor and report medication side effects to Health Services Director.
• Assist with medical appointments and advocate for residents’ needs.
• Record changes in residents’ status in the EMR.
• Follow care plans based on residents’ needs and assessments.
