Job summary

Avamere at Park Place in Portland, OR is seeking a dedicated Medication Tech to administer medications and deliver direct care to residents in memory care and assisted living settings.

You will work with licensed staff to ensure timely, accurate medication administration, record-keeping, and resident safety. A cooperative, compassionate approach and on-site availability are essential for daily resident support.

Qualifications

• Experience as Caregiver and Medication Tech in memory care or assisted living.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification during employment.
• Ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Card.
• Experience with electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications according to physician orders under licensed nurse supervision.
• Administer medications accurately and timely.
• Record medications administered in the resident’s record.
• Notify the pharmacy or family when medications need refilling.
• Maintain a clean and organized medication cart and room.
• Monitor and report side effects to the Director of Health Services.
• Follow care plans related to medication administration.
• Assist with medical appointments and communicate with healthcare providers.
