Job summary

Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC is seeking a Med Tech-Assisted Living worker in Hillsboro, OR. This part-time role involves administering medications and delivering direct care to residents in a memory care/assisted living setting.

The position requires a compassionate, professional demeanor, CPR/First Aid certification, and EMR documentation experience. Riverside community care and support for residents are expected daily.

Qualifications

• Experience as a caregiver and medication tech in memory care or assisted living settings.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification during employment.
• Must have ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Card.
• Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) for documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications according to physician orders under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Administer medications accurately and timely.
• Record medications administered in the resident’s record.
• Notify the pharmacy or family when refills are needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized medication cart and room.
• Monitor and report medication side effects to Health Services Director.
• Follow care plans for medication administration.
• Assist with medical appointments and communicate with providers.
• Observe residents for health changes and monitor vital signs.
• Document changes in residents’ status in EMR.
