Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Medication Aide / Med Tech in New Jersey. The role involves administering medications per physician orders and ensuring safety and accuracy in resident care.

You will document in MAR/TAR in real time, monitor residents during and after passes, and maintain sterile, organized medication areas. The position requires a High School Diploma/GED, medication administration certification, CPR/First Aid certification, and strong documentation and communication skills;

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR and First Aid certification may be required or preferred.
• Medication Administration certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
