Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Old Tappan, NJ is seeking a Medication Aide / Med Tech to deliver safe, accurate medication care for residents. You will administer medications per physician orders, follow the Six Rights, document in MAR/TAR in real time, and observe residents during and after passes.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, Medication Administration certification, CPR/First Aid, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 18+ years old.
• Medication Administration certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
