Job summary

Qualifications

• Education requirement: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience performing essential caregiver functions desirable.
• State Medication Technician certification is required through a pharmacy; CPR required and CPR certification must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provides for resident's personal hygiene and daily living assistance.
• Provides medication assistance to residents as prescribed or directed by a nurse.
• Maintains resident records daily and ensures a clean, safe environment.
• Collaborates with nursing staff and assists in orienting new employees.
• Reports observations to the nurse caring for the resident to ensure professional assessment.
