Job summary

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1–2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises self-administration of medication for residents.
• Assists with ADLs, meal service, light housekeeping, and laundry while encouraging resident independence.
• Speaks to/interacts with residents at all levels of care with empathy, kindness, compassion and respect.
• Observes and reports changes in health and emotional well-being to supervisor.
• Maintains a clean, safe and orderly environment for residents at all times.
• Performs daily general housekeeping duties according to schedules.
• Responds promptly to resident requests for assistance and communicates effectively in understandable language.
• Ensures residents sign out when leaving the community.
• Maintains safe work environment and follows safety protocols.
• Trains and mentors new employees and assists during emergencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
