Job summary

MorningStar Senior Living in Wheat Ridge, CO is seeking a Med Care Manager/QMAP for part-time or full-time shifts. You will administer, pour, pass, and document medications per physician orders under the Wellness Director, while ensuring the five rights and resident-centered care.

This role requires CO QMAP certification, completion of state approved Medication Administration training, First Aid, and a minimum high school diploma with prior senior living/medication experience.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of state approved Medication Administration training.
• QMAP certification in CO.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with prior health-care/ senior living experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document medications per MAR and physician orders under supervision of the Wellness Director.
• Order medications from the pharmacy 7 days prior to running out and ensure timely delivery; notify if delays occur.
• Document medications administered, date and initial after administration.
• Observe and report any adverse reactions or side effects to licensed nurses.
• Take and record vital signs prior to medications that may affect vitals as ordered by the physician/Welness Director.
• Maintain resident privacy, dignity and safety; assist with daily care tasks as needed.
