Job summary

MorningStar Senior Living in Portland, OR seeks a Med Tech to join our full-time team as a Med Care Manager/QMAP. This role administers, pours, passes and documents medications under the Wellness Director, following state regulations.

You’ll learn each resident’s medication preferences and ensure timely administration. The position emphasizes accuracy, safety and compassionate care, working with licensed nurses.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in Assisted Living or Memory Care preferred.
• Must be able to read and write English and document accurately.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document regularly prescribed medications per MAR.
• Order meds and ensure timely delivery; notify Wellness Director if lagging.
• Document medications after administration with date and initials.
• Observe and report reactions or side effects to licensed nurses.
• Record vital signs prior to certain administrations as ordered.
• Report medication errors immediately.
• Assist with care plan development and resident well-being.
• Ensure privacy, dignity, safety and comfort of residents.
