Job summary

Generations is seeking medication staff at Cherrywood Village in Portland, Oregon, to ensure residents receive medications as prescribed by physicians, following care plans and orders to safeguard wellbeing.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the care team, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local standards, and delivering care with compassion and patience. Prior Medication Assistance experience and CNA/HHA certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in Medication Assistance preferred.
• CNA or HHA certification is a plus.
• CPR/First Aid certification – training available upon hire.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical and background checks.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor.

Job description

Medication staff at Cherrywood Village are responsible for ensuring residents receive medication as prescribed by their physicians. Medication staff follow resident care plans and physician's orders to ensure resident safety and well-being while complying with all Federal, State, and Local standards for community operation. They incorporate Generations' Mission, Vision, and Values into their daily work and interactions with others.

Schedule

• Full-time in Memory Care Thurs through Mon from 1:45 pm - 2 pm
• Full-time in Assisted Living Sun through Thurs from 5:45 am - 2:15 pm
• 8 Hour Shifts
• Holiday availability preferred

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in Medication Assistance is preferred
• Certification as a Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide is a plus.
