Job summary

The Colonnade at West Ashley is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to support heartful care for residents in Charleston. You will supervise self‑administration of medications, assist with ADLs, meals, and light housekeeping while promoting independence and dignity for residents.

You will interact with residents, families, and staff with compassion and professionalism, observe changes in health, and ensure safety and privacy in every task while following policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Medicine Technician (Med-Tech) certification.
• 1–2 years related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Supervises self-administration of medication for residents.
• Assists with ADLs, dining, housekeeping, and laundry.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and observes health changes.
• Engages residents with empathy and respects HIPAA rules.
• Communicates with residents, families, and supervisors daily.
• Participates in activities and supports resident independence.

Education
