Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Med Tech to provide daily resident care and assist with prescribed medications within the established scope of practice. You will support activities of daily living, maintain records, and communicate resident status to the care team.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed the Medication Aide Course.
• Must possess both current CNA and Med Tech license from the State Board of Nursing in good standing.
• Must satisfactorily pass 2 medication observations annually.
• Must satisfactorily pass all medication cart audits assigned.
• Must attend 4 additional hours of medication administration education annually.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and assist with activities of daily living for residents.
• Assist with administration of prescribed medications within scope of practice.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures relevant to the position.
• Report incidents and changes in resident status to appropriate staff.
• Complete medication cart audits and maintain EMAR/MAR documentation.
• Assist residents with move-in transitions and emotional support.
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Support activity planning and participation for residents.
