Job summary

Country Meadows is seeking a Med Tech (CMT) to manage medications for our residents in a home-like setting and build relationships that support overall health. Part-time shift 3pm–11pm is available, with pay ranges based on experience and potential shift differentials for evenings and overnights.

Licensed Certified Medication Technician credentials are required, and prior direct-care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Certified Medication Technician with the MD Board of Nursing in good standing.
• Prior direct-care experience preferred.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks required in this role.
• Able to understand and speak English sufficiently for safe job performance.

Responsibilities

• Engage with residents, getting to know them personally while administering medications and treatments.
• Observe residents’ day-to-day behavior and outlook to ensure comfort and well-being.
• Manage the medication cart for up-to-date supplies and quality control.

Job description

Pay ranges from $19.25- $23/ hour, based on experience, with the opportunities for shift differentials on evening and overnight shifts.

Med Tech (CMT) Responsibilities:

• Engage with residents, getting to know them personally while administering medications and treatments, observing their day-to-day behavior and outlook and ensuring their comfort and overall positive well-being.
• Provide social and emotional support, while encouraging residents’ independence.
• Manage the medication cart for complete, up-to-date supplies and quality control.

• Use of Point of Service technology to obtain meal orders from residents, as needed.

Med Tech (CMT) Requirements:

• Licensed Certified Medication Technician with the MD Board of Nursing and in good standing.

• Prior direct-care experience preferred.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Respect for patient rights and confidentiality.
• Up-to-date medication certification requirements preferred.
• Highly organized skills.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks required in this type of role.
• Have the ability to understand and speak English at a level which allows the safe, efficient performance of the job.
