The Oaks, part of Trinity Health Senior Communities, seeks Med Techs for Muskegon, MI. This evening shift role blends medication administration with hands-on caregiving to ensure resident safety, dignity, and engagement. Training is provided with a 3-day onboarding and a pathway toward further nursing roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Medication Aide or Med Tech credential (state-specific certification).
• Previous experience in assisted living, memory care, or geriatric care (1+ year preferred).
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration protocols.
• Valid CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to lift/transfer residents safely; physical stamina for standing and walking.
• Excellent communication skills; compassionate, respectful demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Medication Management: administer oral/topical meds per physician orders and Five Rights; reconcile MARs; count controlled substances.
• Clinical Care & Monitoring: take vitals; basic tests; wound care and coordinate with nursing staff.
• Daily Living Assistance: assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, and feeding.
• Environmental Care & Safety: keep rooms and common areas safe; housekeeping duties.
• Engagement & Communication: encourage participation in activities; document care and changes; communicate with families.
• Compliance & Documentation: uphold HIPAA; maintain charts and logs.
