Job summary

The Oaks at Muskegon, part of Trinity Health Senior Communities, seeks a Med Tech/Caregiver for the evenings. You will deliver medications and daily care under the Nurse Manager or Wellness Director, while engaging residents and documenting changes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Medication Aide or Med Tech credential (state-specific).
• 1+ year experience in assisted living, memory care, or geriatric care preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration.
• Valid CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to lift/transfer residents safely; physical stamina for standing and walking.
• Excellent communication skills and compassionate demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Administer oral/topical meds following orders and the Five Rights.
• Maintain, reconcile, audit MARs; perform medication counts.
• Take vital signs and perform basic tests; provide wound care.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, mobility, and feeding; ensure hydration.
• Keep rooms and common areas safe; perform housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Document care changes; report to nursing staff and communicate with families.
• Uphold HIPAA and state/federal standards; maintain charts and logs.
