Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health seeks a Registered Nurse for the 7 South unit to plan and implement professional nursing care in line with hospital policies. The role may include charge nurse responsibilities as needed.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate's degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred) and current NC RN licensure. You will work with a team of RNs and allied staff to deliver high-quality patient care across adult and geriatric populations.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current licensure in North Carolina as a Registered Nurse (or Compact state).

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements professional nursing care for patients according to hospital policies.
• Assumes charge nurse responsibilities as assigned.
• Assesses patient care needs and organizes appropriate care.
• Plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates patient care.
• Administers medication as ordered by physician.
• Maintains accurate and relevant records of patient care.
• Recognizes life-threatening situations and responds appropriately.
• Establishes collaborative interdisciplinary relationships with Health System staff.
• Monitors quality of care based on outcome indicators.
• Supports patients in cultural and spiritual beliefs within medical regimens.
